With this visa, you can

Come to New Zealand to Provide care and support for a student visa holder who must be either 17 or under or enrolled in school years 1-13 (or over 18 in exceptional circumstances)

You must live and care for your child in New Zealand on a student visa

Be a parent, person who has legal custody, or a relative of the student for whom you will be the guardian

You must genuinely intend to meet the condition of your visa

Be able to provide accommodation, general welfare and other support to the student

Have enough money to support himself/herself and the student during studying (at least NZD 1,000 per month, or NZD 400 per month if you've already paid for your accommodation.)

Meet Health and Character requirement

You must declare in your visa application that you'll pay the costs of any healthcare or medical assistance you receive in New Zealand

You must have completed an acceptable qualification in New Zealand

You must apply in time (no later than 3 months after your student visa expires, or 6 months if you were granted a visa to complete a doctorate.)

You need to provide evidence that you have at least NZD 4,200 when you apply
