[UTS] Business and Communication applicants to receive automatic recognition of prior learning

One semester off the UTS Bachelor!



We are happy to announce that UTS recently implemented new RPL arrangements. The following arrangements were designed to streamline the RPL process and provide transparency for both you and your students prior to admission at UTS.



The UTS Business School now provides 24cps of automatic recognition of prior learning (RPL) to graduates of Australian AQF Level 5 or 6 qualifications.



Key information:


  • Applies to C10026 Bachelor of Business and C10342 Bachelor of Management

  • Bachelor duration will be reduced by 0.5 years.

  • Eligible applicants will receive block exemption from CBK90171 Electives.

  • Automatically assessed during the admission assessment process. No subject outlines or RPL forms required.

  • Excludes existing articulation arrangements. Click here to view existing articulation arrangements.




The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences now provides 24cps of automatic recognition of prior learning (RPL) to graduates of Australian AQF Level 5 qualifications.



Applies to the following courses:

C10361 Bachelor of Communication (Journalism)* C10362 Bachelor of Communication (Media Arts and Production)* C10363 Bachelor of Communication (Public Communication)* C10364 Bachelor of Communication (Social and Political Sciences)* C10369 Bachelor of Communication (Creative Writing)* C10371 Bachelor of Communication (Digital and Social Media)* C10276 Bachelor of Music and Sound Design  *also includes combined degrees with BCII

Additional information:


  • Eligible Bachelor of Communication applicants will receive block exemption from CBK91115 Cross-disciplinary electives.

  • Eligible Bachelor of Music and Sound Design applicants will receive block exemption from CBK91142 Electives.

  • Bachelor duration reduced by 0.5 years.

  • Automatically assessed during admission assessment process. No subject outlines or RPL forms required.
