Principal information of representative New Zealand University.

There are eight national universities in New Zealand, two are ranked among the top 100 universities in the world (one is in the 50 ranking), and as mentioned above, six universities are included in the top 500. In other words, New Zealand universities boast internationally renowned reputations. All 8 universities have exchange activities with Korean universities and conduct international research activities. Some of the major New Zealand universities are as follows

 The University of Auckland

The University of Auckland is the most prestigious university in New Zealand and is located in the heart of Auckland City. It is ranked among the world's top universities, ranking 82nd in the world's university rankings. Founded in 1883, the University of New Zealand is comprised of eight colleges and universities (humanities colleges, business colleges, arts colleges, education colleges, engineering colleges, law colleges, medical and health colleges and natural universities) and more than six campuses. It is the best university in New Zealand with over 30,000 students.

QS Five star is an institution that has been highly evaluated in research, employment rate, education, facilities and internationalization innovation in QS university evaluation. The University of Auckland offers more than 30 undergraduate degrees in more than 125 majors and offers over 130 postgraduate courses in over 170 majors.

Admission requirements for universities must meet the required English language proficiency level for each major, and can be completed after completing Year 12 in New Zealand or at Korean high school after completion of the university foundation course (foundation course).

Auckland University of Technology

AUT (Auckland University of Technology) is the most modern and modern-looking university in New Zealand, located in Auckland CBD and promoted to Auckland Institute of Technology on January 1, 2000, having originally started in 1895 as Auckland Technical School. Victoria University of Wellington

Founded in 1897, Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand's capital, is one of New Zealand's leading universities. University of Otago

Massey University

Massey University is the second largest university in New Zealand and one of New Zealand's leading universities, with approximately 35,000 students studying. The University was founded in 1927 as the College of Agriculture at Massey University. It was founded in 1963 as an independent college of Massey University of Manawatu.

The Main Campus is located in Palmerston North and there are also campuses in Wellington and Auckland (Albany). The School of Business at Massey University is the largest in New Zealand and has three college and university campus courses.

University of Canterbury

The University of Canterbury, located in Christchurch on the South Island of New Zealand, was founded in 1873 as the second tertiary education after Otago University in New Zealand. Until the dissolution of the University of New Zealand in 1961, it was the only university in New Zealand. With the abolition of the federal university system, it became an independent university institution, and the Canterbury Agricultural School (now Lincoln University) was added to the constitutional university from 1961 to 1990. Although it lectured to buildings in the city of Christchurch until 1974, it was relocated to the Ilam district to preserve old historic buildings. The old building, which was used until 1974, was used as the Christchurch Arts Centre and is now used for art, It is loved by citizens and tourists as an activity base for artists.

In addition to being the only New Zealand higher education institution with a forestry college, the New Zealand School of Forestry has been established in the Faculty of Engineering and is also training forest specialists, one of New Zealand's leading exports.

Founded more than 130 years ago, the Graduate School of Law is highly regarded both at home and abroad and is in charge of the Antarctic Research Program at the International Antarctic University (IAI) Cooperative School.  In January 2007, the College was reorganized into the College of Integrated Education (Department of Education) at Christchurch College of Education and was reorganized into the Humanities, Commerce, Education, Engineering, Fine Arts, Forestry, Law, We have a wide range of departments.

The University of Waikato

Founded in 1964, Waikato University is a New Zealand national university located in Hamilton. Due to the nature of the Hamilton region, New Zealand's high percentage of Maori students is also a research centre for Pacific Islander studies on New Zealand native Maori culture, Pacific Islands, Oceania culture and history. It is also known as the College of Computer Science and Business Administration and has a total of 13,000 students studying at the University of Waikato, including 1,500 international students from more than 60 countries.

The Waikato area is also a beautiful place to enjoy surfing, sea sports, sulfur hot springs, and many leisure activities and recreational activities.

Lincoln University

It opened in 1878 as an agricultural school related to the University of Canterbury (now Canterbury University). It is the third oldest university in New Zealand and has been accepted since 1880.

As a higher education institution in New Zealand in 1990, I became a college autonomy and became independent from the University of Canterbury and changed to Lincoln University. I was in charge of lectures in 33 departments and more than 500 subjects in four departments as a university.

The number of students is about 4,500 and the number of teachers is about 250, making it the smallest national university in New Zealand. There are 550 students from 8 student dorms in the university and student researchers from 60 countries.

About half of the students are international students and international migrants, and 16 regular exchange students from six countries are involved in the regular exchange student program, and there are many students from the USA and Northern Europe.

Christchurch city center is a 30 minute drive to Lincoln University and there is a bus service linking the center of Christchurch and Lincoln University.  

The University has a New Zealand Cricket Association established educational facility, and Cricket New Zealand has a great feature that is being used as a training school for athletes. It has a strong relationship with the University of Canterbury because of its history as an affiliated university of Canterbury.  The University of Lincoln's most prominent feature is its academic, business, and engineering colleges, environmental studies, forestry, and natural sciences that focus on subjects such as agriculture, food science, land planning, road traffic, and wine.
